What is this?
AI is the most powerful creative tool in human history. It is also the most dangerous to the creative process. This constitution exists to answer one question: what does ethical creativity look like in the age of AI?
Modeled after Anthropic’s Claude Constitution—the document that governs how their AI behaves in the world—The Artistic Constitution is a living document. A framework for the artist-AI relationship built on four pillars: safety, ethics, compliance, and genuine helpfulness.
Read it. Annotate it. Challenge it. Make it better. This is a community document, and the conversation starts here. All contributions are reviewed and the constitution is updated quarterly.
